US President Donald Trump spoke for 80 minutes, in front of a projected image of a doctored presidential seal, at a student summit on Tuesday local time.
The image contained a two-headed eagle instead of one head, which resembles the design of the Russian coat of arms. The eagle is also holding golf clubs instead of arrows in its left talons, and cash instead of an olive branch in its right talons. Latin wording above the eagle’s head was supposed to be “E Pluribus Unum” meaning “from many one”; however the altered version said “45 es un titere”, which is Spanish for “45 is a puppet” – Mr Trump is the 45th President of the United States.
The shield on the eagle’s chest also has hammer-and-sickle symbols on it, a symbol meant to represent proletarian solidarity – a union between the peasantry and working-class, that was first adopted during the Russian Revolution.
A source closeto the event organisers told the CNN that it was “just a terrible Google search mistake”, and that an audio-visual aide for the organising student group was fired over the gaffe.
