A 73 year old man has been left with a split lip after he was assaulted on the Mitchell Freeway.
At around 10:30AM on Friday morning (31st, July, 2020), the 73 year old Male victim was travelling on the Mitchell Freeway’s southbound, he slowed down due to heavy traffic near Warwick Road exit.
The driver behind the victim used his car to horn several times, both car stopped and both men exited the vehicle.
The victim was punched in the face through an open windows without warning shortly after returns to his car.
The 73 year old man drove to the Warwick Police station to report the incident and was taken to hospital.
As a result of the physical assault, he suffered a split lip and facial soreness according to Police.
Police are seeking further information on this incident, urging witnesses and drivers with dashcam vision of the incident to come forward.
Authorities will also like to speak to the other man involved in the incident, particularly to the driver behind both vehicles at the time of the assault.
