The Chinese consulate in Perth will be holding a press conference tomorrow morning regarding the Coronavirus matter.
Sources have confirmed to WAMN News that Perth’s Chinese Consulate General, Zhihua Dong, will be answering questions from the media about Coronavirus which triggered racism incidents.
It’s understood the press conference will be held following a briefing to business leaders and mining represenstatives.
According to the guest list, several businesses leaders within the Chinese community will be attending the briefing, including Australian China Business Council WA CEO Tracey Lim, CCCA President David Sun, Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-operative Matt Rutter, Perth Glory Chief Commercial Officer & Strategy Nic Barbato.
Tourism leaders in WA are in the attendees list as well, they include Tourism WA Chairman Nathan Harding, and Rottnest Island Authority Executive Director Michelle Reynolds.
It’s understood that mining representatives from FMG, Woodside, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Citic Pacific will also attend the conference.
The press conference will be held at 10AM tomorrow morning.
