The City Of Kwinana’s long term Sandra Lee has been awarded with the WALGA Long and Loyal Service Award in 2019.
Apart from Sandra, councillors from other local government also received awards for their contributions to the local community.
Ms Lee became a councillor with the Kwinana council since 2005 and re-elected three times.
During her term, she has worked hard to serve local residents at the same time assisting residents with disability.
“I feel proud, honoured and humbled to be a WALGA honours recipient for the Long and Loyal Service Award,” Ms Lee said.
“It’s my pleasure to serve, as I have always been passionate and committed to the Kwinana community.”
Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams says she is pleased that Councillor Lee has been recognised for service to the city.
Ms Adam also praised Ms Lee for her instrumental role of establishing the Community Consultation Policy, which aims to equip the city local planning strategy towards 2050.
Sandra Lee is current a long term member in many committees and currently leads the Leda Primary School Special Education Support Centre Board, and the South West Reference Group Committee as a chairperson.
