A police chase has resulted in the arrest of a Parmelia man following burglaries in Shoalwater and Safety Bay.
The 40-year-old man was charged after failing to evade Regional Operations Group officers.
Officers were patrolling in Rockingham after receiving reports of three burglaries occurring between 7pm and 9:30pm, with two robberies in Shoalwater and one in Safety Bay.
A Honda CR-V was stolen during the first burglary in Shoalwater.
Officers spotted the Honda on Rae Road in Rockingham at around 9:30pm, attempting to stop the vehicle.
It will be alleged that the driver evaded police and drove recklessly through Rockingham, Hillman, East Rockingham, Kwinana Beach, Calista, Wellard and Leda.
Officers deployed a tyre deflation device, stopping the vehicle.
As officers stopped, the driver accelerated into the side of a police vehicle, causing damage.
The driver drove the vehicle into a park off Bilya Gardens, where he got out and was taken into custody at around 9:40pm.
He was charged with reckless driving exceeding the speed limit of 45kmh, breach of bail, stealing a motor vehicle, driving recklessly and failing to comply with a direction to stop.
The man was also charged with two counts of no authority to drive, three counts of aggravated burglary and commit and three counts of stealing.
He will appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
