NSW Man Charged After Meth, Cocaine Hidden in Car Seized in Perth

A NSW man will face court after WA Police seized around 6kg of drugs hidden in a vehicle.

Police arrested the man from Punchbowl after finding the drugs during a traffic stop including 3.98kg of methamphetamine and 2kg of cocaine.

Organised Crime Squad detectives will allege that on 14 January, a Toyota Rav 4 was driven and transported from Sydney to Perth.

The 42-year-old man had flown ahead of the vehicle to WA and was staying at a home in Scarborough.

The vehicle was delivered to an address in Bayswater on the afternoon of 15 January and was picked up by the man.

Police officers later stopped the vehicle and located the drugs hidden in a compartment in the car.

Officers then executed search warrants at the Scarborough and Bayswater addresses.

The man faces two charges of possessing methamphetamine and cocaine with intent to sell or supply.

He appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
