WA Police are asking for witnesses of a fatal accident in South Hedland on Monday to come forward.
Officers arrived at the scene of a traffic accident on Kennedy street at 10pm Monday evening, where a man in his 30s had been seriously injured and a red and black mobility scooter damaged.
Paramedics from St John Ambulance rushed the man to Hedland Health Campus, but he later died of his injuries.
As they investigated the circumstances of the crash, police discovered a light blue Holden Commodore with a badly damaged front-end bumper, wing mirror and windscreen.
Officers say the Commodore is linked to an address on Kennedy street where the crash took place, and believe the car may be relevant to their inquiries.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone who heard or saw an altercation, or who saw the man on his mobility scooter or the Holden Commodore in the area prior to the crash.
