WA Police have charged a Senior Sergeant with dangerous driving following a crash in Gidgegannup earlier this year.
Police will allege the 60-year-old male sergeant from the State Intelligence and Command Portfolio was attending a fatal traffic crash in the area at around 1:50am in April.
He entered the intersection of Great Eastern Highway Bypass Road and Sterling Crescent in High Wycombe under priority conditions when he collided with a Toyota Corolla Hatch driven by a 30-year-old man.
The officer and the driver both received minor injuries.
The Senior Sergeant has been stood aside and will appear before the Midland Magistrates Court of 4 December.
