Super Storm To Approach WA This Sunday

The Bureau Of Meteorology WA has forecast a major storm to hit Perth this Sunday, as a low pressure system interacts with a cold front near the South West of WA.

It’s expected the weather system to impact large parts of WA’s coast during this weekend, with strong winds and heavy rain expected on Sunday and Monday.

The bureau predicts coastal areas in Pilbara will recieve 20-40mm of rain, isolated rain falls between Karratha to Kalbarri near the coast up to 100mm.

More heavy downpour between Kalbarri to Albany with a total of around 20-30mm with isolated rain falls up to 70mm.

The Wheat Belt area can expect rainfalls of at least 5-10mm, localities near the west coast may get fall of 10-20mm.

Meanwhile, beach may face significant erosion due a whipped up of seas and swells, peak waves may have heights of 8 meters for the west coast this coming Monday.
