WA Police have charged three people who were involved in a brawl at a children’s basketball game outside a recreation centre in Mandurah on Tuesday night.
The fight involving 70 people broke out during the under 15s girls match in the Mandurah Recreation Centre at about 6:40pm as a result of an ongoing dispute between two families.
It spilled outside into the car park where police were called in to respond.
The fight continued at around 9:30pm outside a residence in Coodanup.
A 35-year-old woman from Mandurah has been charged with taking part in a riot, a 71-year-old Coodanup woman was charged with aggravated common assault and riotous behaviour
A 15-year-old Mandurah girl was also charged with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and taking part in a riot.
The Mandurah and Coodanup women are due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on 29 November.
Meanwhile, the Mandurah girl is due to appear in the Mandurah Children’s Court on 2 December.
WA Police are continuing the investigation and call for anyone living or travelling in the area who may have CCTV or dash cam footage.
